it has been a while since i last came home this early before everyone does. MY definition of early is about two to three in the afternoon when everyone either already at work of at school, when no one is at home.
Back then, I used to starve myself in high school everyday to reserve my tum tum for *favourite* grandma’s special dish at home. I recall the moment as I step in the house, I’ll surround the house with my strong loud voice calling out waipoh like a super sound system. hahha, I like it loud like that. I do the same to my dogs, calling each their names and they would come to locate me. Throw my school back on the floor and hop on next to my grandma Believe me, it’s one heck of fun, and I call this cozy place home.
Now its different.
Everything is different.
I finish class at two today and reach home an hour later. My three fur friends gave me their warmest greetings and made coming home a hearty one. ((: I begin feeling rather empty when the composed atmosphere of the living room accosted me. What a strange feeling, like only a void can do. I starve from college this time but to get home wondering what’s there for me. I lay the same backpack (I used to bring to school) on the floor, and hop on to no where but to on the lights.
buddha was right that nothing is permanent.
we have to detached and embark on changes. by hook or by crook.
no mercy baby, no mercy.
“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

I’m placing my bet on the fact that this woman is gonna grow to be one successful student, learner and human with attitude. We shall learn (my kiasu alert triggered lol).
I miss this woman, so so very much.
remember the last post i mentioned that we made recycle paper during HESC first lab meeting? pardon me, I’m a jacoon like that but the whole process was whoopee!
Pretty simple procedures, you can try this at home too! FOR ALL AGES.
First and foremost, the apparatus needed: -
1. Blender
2. Basin
3. Roller
4. Net Sheet
5. Transparency
6. Oven
7. Old News Paper
8. Sponge
STEP 1: Tear the old newspaper into 1 inch by 1 inch.

This is to make the paper more blend-able.
STEP 2: Soak the cut newspaper into water at amount just nice to the quantity of newspaper.

This process will take a fast three minutes. Like a maggi cup!

.o1 sec was my slow reaction time in stopping stopwatch. whoops
IMPORTANT– STEP 2.5: Camwhoreee!

STEP 3: Old newspaper Smoothieeeeee!

Carefully transfer/pour EVERYTHING including water into the blender.

Ready to go?

Smooooothieeeeeeeeeee *ew*

There you go.. Old tabloid smoothie. :s
Note: Make sure the smoothie is homogeneous which means the overall content is of same colour and texture. *according to Authur*
STEP 4: Spreaddddd.

Slam your smoothies on the net sheet. (you may try using a flat sieve as an alternative) Notice the fine net?

Apply a film of transparency on it and spread it with a roller.
The transparency film is to prevent smoothie from sticking onto the roller. At the same time, excess water from the smoothie is eliminated via the net.
once you’re done…. TADAAAAAA!!

Next, you should flip over the wooden net frame to which the transparency acts as the base. You can then remove the wooden net frame and start sponging our your smoothie to minimize its water consistency. Basically, this speeds up the drying process later on.
STEP 5: Evaporate your smoothie. o.o

oven-nise your smoothieeeee at temperature sufficient to evaporate the smoothie but insufficient to melt the transparency. (don’t forget your transparency is in the oven too!)
ahhaha. dont mind me, i realize the amount of broken English i’m creatively creating. -.-
..step 5 is gonna take some time depending on the thickness of your smoothie as well as its water consistency. once the smoothie hardened and is no longer a smoothie anymore, wala, you can now declare it as PAPER.
*inserts an imaginary recycled paper*
left early for pool tournament, so i missed the end product. Should be good. Gonna go check out on Monday.
Bottom line, this is a potential heartwarming DIY gift for your love one! Dye it with your liking of colours to give it different feel or enhance its appearance with dry leaves/petals/etc. No limitations for everything’s up to your creativity folks. Have fun!
Do this as a vote for earth.
(:
its crucial.

you always wanted tomorrow to come. and now, today is yesterday’s tomorrow. shall we make the best out of it? because opportunity don’t come twice so as time waits for no men and tides.
